Not that Eindhoven is not already green, but as their inhabitants grow concerns for the environment, the same happens to the city council. Grey buildings sprout around the city, and they want to do their best in hidding it.
Greenspotlight is the proyect that comes to mind when you see the streets of Eindhoven. A mixture of lamps and plants, hanging over your head while you walk around the street.
The designers thought: why have a streetlamp, occupying space, and pots of plants at the sidewalk, when you can have them both in the same spot?
The lamps, hanging on cables are surrounded by nets holding plants. These two manage to arise nice feelings from the pedestrians underneath, either during the day, with a splash of green or at night, illuminating the street.
A great idea to avoid those huge pots of plants blocking our way.

BYTR, es un estudio de diseñadores Holandés, que ha recibido por parte del ayuntamiento el encargo de renovar la ciudad de Eindhoven.
No es que Eindhoven no sea ya una ciudad ecológica, pero así como la preocupación por el medio ambiente de sus habitantes crece, lo mismo hace la del ayuntamiento. Edificios grises están surgiendo por la ciudad, y desean hacer lo mejor que puedan para esconderlo.
Greenspotlight es el proyecto que viene a la mente cuando uno ve las calles de Eindhoven. Una mezcla de farola y plantas, suspendida sobre tu cabeza cuando paseas por las calles.
Los diseñadores pensaron: ¿por qué tener farolas, ocupando espacio, y tiestos con plantas en la acera, cuando puedes tener los dos en un mismo lugar?
Las farolas, colgando de cables, están rodeadas por redes que sujetan a las plantas. La unión consigue crear un agradable ambiente para los peatones que caminan debajo, ya sea de día, con un toque de verdor o por las noches iluminando la calle.
Una gran idea para evitar esos enormes tiestos que bloquean nuestro camino.

Look what a wonderful idea for Serrano street in Madrid. There are works non-stop in the street and the huge plant pots are still there in every corner. It will look at lot better with this invention.

Mira qué idea más buena para la calle Serrano en Madrid. Que nos están llenando de obras y las super macetas en las esquinas siguen ahí. Quedaría mucho más bonito con este invento. -

una buena idea si los ayuntaminetos hablasen con los fabricantes y tambien coloquen bombillas de bajo consumo. He visto demasiada densidad de farolas hasta en las calles de los pueblos pequenos y aparte del gasto en montaje hay un gasto anual de electricidad fenomenal. Las farolas de placa solar con bombilla de LED es otra alternativa...deberiamos usar y promocionar todas estas ideas y aplicar la mejor para cada circunstancia
